This is a really useful book; it is a dictionary of nutritional terms. The world of nutrition is full of jargon and scientific terms that can make reading nutrition labels so confusing as to render them almost meaningless. What is the difference between “potassium sulphate” and “potassium sulphite”? Are they safe to consume? We’ve all heard of “prebiotics” and “probiotics” but what is the role of each?
In My Nutritionary, author Catherine Saxelby, well known culinary nutritionist, explains all such terms in plain English. She also rates various additives and ingredients as safe, limit use and beware.
Five stars from me!
