In April, my sister and I joined about 200 other crazy people to run in a 4 day stage race along sections on the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory.
The race was extremely well organised by Rapid Ascent – bravo to the excellent team there.
The race was challenging (brutal at times, in fact) but ultimately exceptionally rewarding – spectacular, ancient scenery, expansive views and wonderful other competitors.
My sister and I did the “short” course (I would call it the “less long” course:
Day 1 – 12 km night run
Day 2 – 25km (838m elevation) – a particularly hard day out
Day 3 – 22.5km (849m elevation)
Day 4 – 28km (873m elevation)
It was may second time doing this race and my sister’s first. We did it!!!!
This video is a little snippet of what it was like. I hope you enjoy it.
