Here’s My Thoughts

Running with Mindfulness: Dynamic Running Therapy (Drt) to Improve Low-Mood, Anxiety, Stress, and Depression

William Pullen is a London-based psychotherapist, TEDx speaker and author who has developed a unique treatment method called Dynamic Running Therapy (DRT). DRT has been described as a “revolutionary method” and as “a radical new approach to mindfulness”.

In his book, Run For Your Life: Mindful Running for a Happy Life (published in the United States as Running with Mindfulness), William explains what DRT is, ow to implement it and what its benefits are. He describes DRT as a powerful therapeutic technique for confronting difficult circumstances and feelings, like depression and low mood, in your life through movement. The book is also part workbook with spaces provided to record your thoughts and feelings that come up during your running therapy.

I really like William’s fresh approach to therapy; the combination with movement is a master stroke. If you feel stuck in a rut, angry, anxious, depressed or have trouble making decisions, I highly recommend this book.

William is a guest on Episode #18 of Amanda’s Wellbeing Podcast. Here is a link to the podcast episode with William: https://amandaswellbeingpodcast.com/william-pullen/
